BIOGRAPHY
ANN PIBAL (b. 1969 Minneapolis, MN) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and North Bennington, VT. Solo exhibitions have been hosted by team gallery (New York, NY), Pifo Gallery (Beijing, China), Lucien Terras Inc. (New York, NY), The Suburban (Chicago, IL), and team bungalow (Los Angeles, CA). Pibal’s work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including shows presented by MoMA P.S. 1 (Queens, NY), Rønnebæksholm (Næstved, Denmark), The Brooklyn Museum (Brooklyn, NY), The Francis Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery (Saratoga Springs, NY), Lucien Terras Inc. (New York, NY), Atlanta Contemporary (Atlanta, GA), deCordova Museum (Lincoln, MA), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), Mana Contemporary (Jersey City, NJ), Colby College Museum of Art (Waterville, ME). Pibal received a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship in 2013, a Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Fellowship in 2008, and The Pollock-Drasner Foundation Fellowship in Painting and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting in 2006. Her work is in many public collections including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, The Tan Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, Yale University, Hirshhorn Museum, and Colby College Museum of Art.
