JERED SPRECHER


JERED SPRECHER (b. 1976 Lincoln, NE) lives and works in Knoxville, TN. He earned his MFA at the University of Iowa in 2002. He was the recipient of a Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 2009, and was an Artist-in-Residence at The Chinati Foundation, Marfa, Texas, in 2013. Solo exhibitions have been hosted by The Knoxville Museum of Art (Knoxville, TN), Jeff Bailey Gallery (New York, NY), Gallery 16 (San Francisco, CA), and Staple Goods (New Orleans, LA). Sprecher’s work is held in numerous private and public collections, including those of the Nerman Museum, the Knoxville Museum of Art and Progressive Corporation, the Tama Museum (Tokyo, Japan), the New York Public Library, and Museum of Modern Art/Franklin Furnace Artist Book Collection (New York, NY).
