Steven Zevitas Gallery was founded in 2003 in Boston’s South End and operated as osp gallery through 2007. In September of 2008, the gallery moved to a ground level space that has brought added exposure and the opportunity to execute large-scale projects. Since its inception, the Steven Zevitas Gallery has privileged works on paper with an emphasis on abstraction. While this continues to be a strong vein of the gallery’s programming, exhibitions have and will continue to address a variety of media.
The gallery exhibits and represents artists from throughout the United States. Notable emerging artists who have had their first solo shows in Boston at the gallery include: Xylor Jane, Chuck Webster, Chris Ballantyne, Andrew Masullo and Jered Sprecher. Group exhibitions have included mid-career artists such as Thomas Nozkowski, Jessica Stockholder, James Siena and Chris Martin.
Steven Zevitas Gallery began participating in art fairs in late 2007. To date we have taken part in the Aqua Art Fair Miami in 2007 and 2008; the Next Art Fair Chicago in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011; and the Volta NY Art Fair in 2010 and 2011. We intend to participate in international art fairs beginning in 2012.
